RETROFIT KITS

Premier Lighting is an energy saving retrofit specialist. We have many years of experience in upgrading inefficient lighting  to long life, full spectrum, fixtures using approximately half the power. Select from a number of options such as LED's, Induction Lighting, high performance Fluorescents, Bi-level Metal Halide and dimming Cold Cathode Technologies.

LED Retrofits

Premier has a world-class team of LED Engineers and Designers. We use the brightest, most reliable LED's available to provide static and dimmable LED retrofit kits for: step lights, recessed lights, cylinders, wall packs and a host of custom-built applications.

Induction Lights

Induction has twice the lamp life of LED's and are almost as efficient. They are a great choice for many types of retrofits. Premier Lighting has been converting fixtures to Induction since 2003. Typically they work best in larger fixtures, such as: High bays, street lights, shoe boxes, recessed lights or cylinders over 8".


High Efficiency Fluorescent

Many lighting systems have gained lamp life and efficiency in the race to reduce costs and maintenance. Manufacturers now offer lamps with a 50,000 to 75,000 hour lamp life. Reflector and refractor technology has reduced the number of tubes for most tasks by half. Retrofits to convert inefficient office and warehouse spaces continues to be a huge part of our industry. Premier Lighting has some fabulous retrofit kits for office and warehouse upgrades.


Cold Cathode Lighting

This new, completely dimmable entrant to the lighting industry competes in price, efficiency and lamp life with compact fluorescent lamps. It is perfect for smaller retrofits like 6" recessed lights and cylinders.

Bi-level Metal Halide:
This technology has also seen advances in lamp life and energy reduction. Now with dimmable Ceramic Metal Halide lamps, Metal Halide can be dimmed and brightened via motion detectors. Premier has retrofitted airports and army bases with this technology and we continue to find new opportunities for it's use.

Decorative Post Lights

For Decorative Post Lights up to 20 feet high and for retail or residential areas, we recommend “Dark Sky” LED or Induction light engines. Although Premier supplies replacement kits to convert most common Post Lights it is often easier to replace the entire fixture. For antique or architecturally desirable fixtures Premier will quote on replacement kits based on: measurements, voltage, interior and exterior photos and the number of fixtures involved. A complete fixture will be needed to design a test model for which minimal charges will be billed.

Roadway Cobra Head

For Roadway ‘Cobra Head Fixtures’ up to 35 feet high, Premier recommends Induction light replacement heads from 70 Watts to 165 Watts. Premier can also provide LED replacement heads for heights below 30 feet.
